An assessment is an annual determination made by the Nassau County Department of Assessment, which determines a tentative assessment (or value) for your property as of January 2, 2018. If you believe the assessment on your property is inaccurate, you may grieve your property taxes by filing an application for correction with the Assessment Review Commission Click here to file online.. Attend a workshop to help you file a property tax assessment grievance application. At the workshop, a representative from Nassau County Assessment Review Commission will show residents how to file a challenge.
