Where to See Christmas Lights 2017!

Jones Beach Magic of Lights – Wantagh

November 17 – December 31, 2017

This much-anticipated event is back this year with all of your favorite holiday characters and the spectacular tunnel of lights. Pile the family into the car and drive through 2.5 miles of light displays with animation that will capture the imaginations of young and old.

 

Bayville Winter Wonderland – Bayville

November 24-January 1, but dates/times vary.

Captain Bay’s Yo-Ho Holiday Light Show with a pirate-themed light show tells the story of the pirates’ first Christmas. Santa’s Toy Factory Fun House boasts bright florescent-colored walls that can be seen in 3-D with glasses.  Wander through a tricky hall of mirrors and then to Santa’s workshop as you listen to the sounds from the North Pole. Other attractions include Blizzard Bay’s Arctic Skating Adventure, Holiday Express Train Ride, and Magical Meeting with Santa.

 

Festival of Lights – Freeport

This unique event showcases festively decorated boats. Boat owners go all out with lights and decorations in this parade along the Nautical Mile in Freeport. Homes along the parade route also join in with backyards adorned with lights. Bundle up for some FREE holiday fun.

 

Brookhaven Town Holiday Spectacular – Holtsville

Holtsville Ecology Site, 249 Buckley Road

The annual Brookhaven Town Holiday Spectacular, an indoor, walk-through holiday light show benefiting the animals at the Holtsville Ecology Site. There are opportunities to participate in raffles and photos with Santa for additional fees.

 

West End Electric Light Parade – Long Beach

December 9, 2017, 6:30pm

West Beech Street

From antique cars to fire trucks and even bicycles, get ready for a parade of vehicles that are wrapped in Christmas lights. Parking is available at Long Beach Catholic Regional School with shuttle buses to the West End starting at 4:30pm. Enjoy free hot chocolate along the parade route and restaurants will be offering specials and kids’ activities after the parade. FREE

Boardwalk Lights is a holiday nautical themed light show display on the boardwalk. The six-week-long event will be highlighted with special evenings featuring a tree lighting, menorah lighting, holiday music, and more. FREE

 

Girl Scouts of Suffolk County Holiday Lights Show – Shirley

Girl Scouts of Suffolk County and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone are excited to present the 14th annual Holiday Lights Show. With almost 2 miles of dazzling light displays, Long Island’s favorite drive-through light show promises even more lights and more family fun! Tickets will be sold at the gate only–no cash, no pre-sales.
